FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Dec. 21, 2006 – In celebration of National Poetry Month, Thomson Gale, part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), has created Poet’s Corner (http://www.gale.com/free_resources/poets), a free Web site of biographies, poems and activities to make the month more meaningful to students, teachers and poetry lovers worldwide. The Web site goes live on April 1, the official start of National Poetry Month.

In addition to these free resources, Thomson Gale is giving away free trials to Thomson Gale’s family of literature databases, including:

LitFinder – The largest, most accessible collection of literature available online, this rich database guides users through the world of poetry, fiction and drama, delivering more than a million examples of full-text, indexed and excerpted literature, as well as biographies, explanations and images.

Literature Resource Center – With more than 371,000 full-text journal articles from more than 230 literary journals, 38,000 critical essays, and more than 122,000 author biographies, Literature Resource Center presents literature in all its dimensions and provides users with multiple points of departure for the broadest possible research.

The quiz tests knowledge of significant people and events involved in poetry.
