Sleeping Bear Press Author to Sign New Release at ALA Midwinter Conference
Author Helen Wilbur Signs M is for Meow at Thomson Gale Booth
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Jan. 19, 2007 Sleeping Bear Press author Helen Wilbur will sign her new Sleeping Bear Press title M is for Meow: A Cat Alphabet at Thomson Gale booth #2510 during the American Library Associations Midwinter Conference. Thomson Gale is part of Thomson Learning.
Wilbur, a former librarian, has loved cats all her life. In explaining her goal in writing an animal book for children, she says, "Animals don't care if you aren't the most popular kid in the class or whether you did your homework." Wilbur has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago and a master's degree in library science from Columbia University. She lives in New York City.
Illustrator Robert Papps award-winning artwork includes hundreds of illustrations for major publishers across the United States, and his first children's book, Sleeping Bear Press The Scarlet Stockings Spy, was named an IRA Teachers' Choice in 2005. Papp lives in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Wilbur will be at Thomson Gale booth #2510 on Sunday, January 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at the booth for $10.
