Three Thomson Gale Databases Named CODiE Award Finalists
Winners to be announced on April 17, 2007
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Feb. 14, 2007 Three Thomson Gale databases ClassTrac, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Centerand Science Resource Center - are finalists for the Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) 22nd Annual CODiE Awards. These awards celebrate achievement and vision in software, education technology and digital content and are the only peer-reviewed honor in the industry. Thomson Gale is a part of Thomson Learning.
"The 2007 Codie Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage of the contest," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. ClassTrac is a finalist in the Best Science Instruction category, which awards the best school-based education technology solution for science or health curriculum and content for students in pre K-20.
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center is a finalist in the Best Education Reference or Search Service category, which awards the service that either best packages reference, library or research information, or best brings relevant information to educational users.
Science Resource Center is a finalist in the Best Online Science or Technology Service category, which awards the online service that best conveys information to scientific or technology professionals.
The winners will be announced at the 22nd Annual CODiE Awards Gala on April 17, 2007 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
