Gale Releases Shakespeare for Students, Edition 2
New Edition of 'For Students' Series Focuses on Most Popularly-Studied Shakespeare Plays
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Aug. 15, 2007 - Gale, part of Thomson Learning, announces the release of Shakespeare for Students, Edition 2.
Shakespeare for Students is an attractive and accessible three-volume set of essential criticism to the playwright's most-popularly-studied plays in secondary schools and undergraduate curricula. In all, 25 of Shakespeare's plays and some of his best known poetry are covered.
The book's diverse blend of criticism, along with plot summaries and character profiles, help further decode these dramatic masterpieces for students. Each play is treated with approximately 50-75 pages of text, consisting of three major sections: Introduction, Critical Commentary and Sources for Further Study. Special features include approximately 50 illustrations, engravings, paintings and still photos; a Topics/Character Index; and brief annotations introducing selected critical essays.
